How to use this product

Step 1

  • Apply to dry hair.
  • Spray carefully over all of the hair beginning near the scalp.

Step 2

  • Massage in well and let it work for 10 minutes.

Step 3

  • Comb hair carefully afterwards using the lice comb provided to remove the suffocated lice. 

Step 4

  • Wash out with your normal shampoo.

*Always re-examine scalp & hair after 8 - 10 days to check for possible re-infestation or incomplete solution application.

Some traditional head lice treatments target the nervous system of the louse, but unhatched eggs haven't developed a nervous system yet.

That’s why NYDA® express uses an innovative dual dimethicone formula to deeply penetrate the airways of eggs and adult lice to stop them from breathing.

** We recommend checking hair again 8-10 days after treatment. If the treatment solution does not completely cover all hair, some eggs may not be killed and may hatch up to 7-8 days later. If any live head lice are detected, repeat treatment and check hair again in a further 8-10 days.

Does My Child Need to Stay Home If They Have Head Lice?

In Australia, children with untreated head lice must not attend school in accordance with the Public Health and Wellbeing Regulations 2009. But, they can head back to the classroom once they’ve started treatment.

How Do Head Lice Spread?

Head lice are most often spread by head-to-head contact, which is the main reason outbreaks are so common among school-aged children.

Some people think that hair accessories can also spread head lice but this is unlikely as a louse will not leave the human host unless moving to another scalp.

Head lice are tiny insects that live on the human scalp and have evolved so that they can only survive on our heads. Because they feed on the blood from the scalp, some people report an itching sensation when they have lice.

I Can Still See Eggs Attached to The Hair, Did The Treatment Work?

Head lice attach their eggs to the base of hair follicles with a strong “glue” that doesn’t dissolve with treatment, even though the embryo inside is dead.

To help remove dead eggs, comb the hair thoroughly using a fine-tooth lice comb.
